January
1, 2001 Off-Season While I was in Sydney I got to catch up with some old school and BMX friends and I also got to check out the new bus I brought which will be converted into a Motor Home by August 2001. I am planning on doing a mini tour while I am in Australia this time next year. It's going to be great. I am also planning on basing myself back in Australia in 2002. I spent a couple of days at Bondi beach swimming around and also looking at the scenery. My parents brought me a Rally car driving school course for my Christmas present this year. It was a blast, all day learning and driving rally cars on a course. Even though we have our fun with rental cars, it was even better to drive the rally cars as they are all set up for being thrashed around. I spent Christmas day with my grandma, uncle, aunty, brother and my parents on the way up to the Gold Coast in Queensland. I love staying at the Gold Coast in Queensland, weather is great, easy going relaxed atmosphere with the beach and the bush just 15 minutes away from each other. I am staying with my friend, Mal Dolton on a golf course resort 5 minutes from the beach. I have been doing a lot of road rides, Cable water skiing, moto crossing, surfing and sun baking on the beach. Soon I will be back at the gym starting to work with my pre season training. While I was in South Australia at the AIS I did some testing related to the Olympic Track Sprinters. My results impressed the coaches and with some experience on a bike, the 2004 Olympics maybe in my future. I plan on doing some races this time next year in Australia to see if I am any good, then I will go from there. I return back to the US Jan 22nd but then I am off to spend some time in Chile, South America were I was an exchange student 10 years ago. I will be back just in time for my first race for the year, Feb 10th weekend. I hope you are too enjoying the holidays and off season period and I wish you all a happy and prosperous new year. See you
soon, PAST
