WADE'S JOURNAL

Jan 26th.

Oh my God..... I don't think I am ever going camping again..... Last night was the biggest storm that came through the camp ground/dirt bike/4 wheels drive park. I cannot believe the tent's survived. I mean the rain and wind was huge, water every where..... one of the tent covers was destroyed but that was about it.... During the day yesterday it rained as well but we had the most fun on the flat track circuit with the dirt/mud bikes...... Miller had a few good crashes. After the dirt started to dry up it was like peanut butter... horrible stuff. Before the big rain we did get a lot of riding in as they have single track trails and a hand full of track to ride on.
Today we waited till the dirt was some what ridable and we did some great riding. David, Katrina, Stew and myself went on a really cool technical trail, it was for sure worth the the drive and storm to be there.

So much fun... YZ 250F Brrrraaaapp!!!!!

I cannot believe how fast time is going by..... I have had the house full with people coming and going, playing on the water and also on the bikes..... but mostly having a dance off with Katrina Miller and crew in the clubs, which has been a lot of fun and really long nights. Big day out was on at the coast which is a huge concert with a lot of different bands.... we did not end up going but we did go out the night before and met up with lead and base guitarist from Metallica, who was just hanging out at one of the clubs we go to.
Today I went out on the ski with Miller and went around to V8 driver, Paul Wheel's house who was having a 21st birthday party for his Girl friend.... later that night we went back and had a fun night. A few other V8 drivers were there and I got to met them, Dick and Steve Johnson, David Besnard and Luke the surfer dude. I have been hanging out with David through Katrina and we are all going camping tomorrow and riding moto cross, should be a lot of fun.

A quick pic with some of the sport celeb's.

Jan 7th.

We all took off for a quick moto ride this morning, it was really fun but also really hot. Cooler weather is in the for cast so we will be hitting the dirt bikes a lot more this week. Again we spent most of the afternoon in the pool.

Jan 6th.

I have a few more people staying over at my house and the garage is full..... 4 dirt bikes, about 20 bikes, jet ski, boat, camping gear..... you name it. So today we took out Stewy's boat for a run and we ended up hitting some rocks on the low tide. So that put a stop to the outing as we had to just cruise back in. The prop had a few nicks out of it and made it all out of balance... it will be up and running in a few more days. It has been really hot over here and we spent most of the afternoon in the pool.

Jan 4th.

Day 2 at the Gold Coast National and things did not go very well for me. I made all mains but no luck went my way. Hitting the gate, going over corners..... nothing went right for me today, Oh well. I finished 6th in AA and 8th in Open. There were a few close races as Tiger and Kama tied on points with Tiger taking the money as he won the last main.

All together in Pro open just before I went over the next corner.

After the races a bunch of friends and riders came over for the start of the big night out. We had a little Bar B Q and music pumping at my house and then we cruised into Surfers to a few night clubs. We all walked from my house to the Casino which is around the corner to grab a few limo's and cabs as there was like 25 of us in our group.

Just a few of the crowd that was over at the house.

Just before we left Kama needed a hair cut and Khalen gave him a new look for the night. These two guys are definitely trouble when they are together.

No charge for today's cut buddy!!!!!!!

After a while in town everyone started to split up and some even went home as they had a few to many to drink. As most of there cars where at my place people were coming and going when I was not there. Some just needed a little nap before they took off home back to Sydney.

That's one of my good towel's Brett, give it back!!!!!!!!!!!

Jan 3rd.

Today was the 2nd round of the UCI World Ranking series held at Nerang on the Gold Coast. All the Australian riders get ready for this week of racing on the Coast which makes for some hard competition. Warwick Stevenson made the trip back home to Australian and decided to race and along with Kamakazi. This race is always a hard race for myself as I am not training or riding my BMX bike this time of the year, but I love to race and mix it with the boys. I made it through to the final which was a pretty stacked main for an Australian event. I ended up holeshotting and lead into the first and second corner. I slowed down a little so I would not over jump the back straight away, which then allowed Khalen Young to pass me in the inside of the 3rd corner. He ended up riding a smooth race to the line to which I was not able to get him back, so I had to settle for 2nd for the day. There was some contact with the big guys on the track today, Kamakazi and Warwick in the 3rd corner behind Khalen and myself. I am not really sure what happened but there was some words said to each other after the race...
Tomorrow we have another race with some bigger prize money and maybe some more contact action on the track.

Khalen about to pass me down the back straight with Warwick, Luke and Kama behind.

See you soon,
