WADE'S JOURNAL

Aug 20

In the past 6 week I have been busy travelling with racing and coaching World Wide.  Here is a quick up date of the past few race's and results.

BMX World Championships, Brazil :

I had big expectations in Brazil and was having fun on the huge track which was just over 400m long.  Qualifying out of the motos, I found myself in the start of the elimination rounds of the 8ths. I was sitting in qualifying spot until the last straight to where I was cut off the track by the rider in front which allowed the 5 th place rider to pass me on the line.  With a very disappointing finish to the UCI World Ranking series at the World Championships, I still managed to finish 5 th overall in the point's series.

Jeep King of the Mountain Round 2, WI – USA :

I had a great start to the day where I qualified 1 st .  In the semi final I had the holeshot over Eric Carter in the first run.  In the second last corner, Carter made a smart block pass. This ended up making me colliding with Carter's back wheel and I ended up going down.   I tried to make up the 0.93 of a second but came up short by 0.15 and transfer to the final for 3 rd and 4 th against Brian Lopes.  I again got the holeshot and also was passed in the same corner. This time there was more body contact, to where I went through the banners over the corner.  Next round I came up short again to take the win by 0.07 of a sec over Lopes and had to settle for 4 th over all.
