WADE'S JOURNAL December 31st Wow,
I cannot believe how fast times fly's when your having fun. I got
over my cold and have been out in the water and going out into Surfer's
Paradise a few time's with my mates. It has been a lot of fun. I will
have to take my camera back out to the surf as I can get pretty big
on the waves now... We just got back in from Skiing behind the jet
ski today down the river. Well, have a good night tonight as you go into the new year.... I will be down in Surfer's hangin' with the rest of the people. Hopefully I will get some good shots. December 20th I
am back home at the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia and trying
to get over a cold I picked up in the last few days at camp. Camp
was a great success and I feel really comfortable on my new bike.
I have to say thanks to the complete team at the AIS for making it
a great 10 days. I will still continue to ride and train on the track
but I also have to get ready for my next BMX race January 5th. December 14th Today we did some testing in the lab, on the bike and also with some explosive jump test.
Then we were off to the track again to do some motor Jumps. I did a couple of 10.5's for 200 meters. Eadie did some standing starts and ripped the stem apart.
Later that night we went to Jobie's 21st... it does not take much to get out and have some fun down here but when there is a true reason to go hard.... well, these boys go hard.
The night did not stop after Jobie's private party... We all went into town and went to a few clubs, The Garage and then off to the Rise.
December 12th Today the team went to the Gym and did some strength testing, lifting some heavy weights. Then we went off to the track to do some 1/4 lap standing starts on a few different gears.
December 10th I am currently in Adelaide training with the Australian sprint team. I have just received my new Trek Track frame and getting it all dialed in with all Shimano Dura Ace track parts that came from Trek Japan. It is a little chilly here in Adelaide but good enough weather to train in. Lot's of road riding to and from the Gym and Track which is a lot more road riding than I normally do. The team down here are super cool, we all stay at the AIS on the beach with meal provided 3 times a day. Some of the guys live here most of the year training and getting ready for all the big events during the year.
